Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress, comedian, and activist. After emigrating to America she was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as a child actor. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and from 2020 on - earned her acclaim. In addition to her commercial appearances, she was an actor in the series on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub has also voiced Squirrel Girl on the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after she was cast as Squirrel Girl in the unaired television pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. At the age of two her parents and she immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to avoid antisemitism and settled in West Hollywood. Due to financial difficulties within the family, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was five years old. Vayntrub attended Beverly Hills High School briefly, but she was kicked out of the school in her sophomore year. She later obtained the GED and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. She was introduced to improv comedy through the Upright Citizens Brigade.
